Here are some items of recent UK Christian News.
An artist’s image of the nativity, which replaces the stable with a dirty urban bus shelter, has been unveiled as part of a Church campaign.
The oil painting by Andrew Gadd – which will appear as posters in UK bus shelters – is to be used to promote awareness of the Christmas story.
Chairman Francis Goodwin said: “We want to challenge people.” The aim was to make people “reassess what the birth of Jesus means to them”, he said.
400 Year Old Lord’s Prayer Found
A hand-painted version of the Lord’s Prayer, thought to be more than 400 years old, has been uncovered on a Warwickshire church wall.
The painting was found when a memorial, at St Chad’s church in Wishaw, was moved as it became unsafe. The prayer painting was underneath.
Rev Dr Matthew Rhodes, the priest in charge of the parish, said the find had been a wonderful surprise.
“It puts us in touch with previous generations of Christians,” he said.

Bible Illuminated is the latest attempt to bring the Bible into the modern world. In the format of a 300-page glossy magazine, it contains the whole text of the New Testament in a popular translation, with no chapter or verse numbers.
