After my last article on how to prevent spam, I thought about all those people who actually have spam right now, in their inbox, every day. So at the Church I have been testing a program so that I can recommend it for use. (We do get a lot of spam for the Church email because it has to be public and is given out all over the place.)
So for the last few weeks I have been testing a program called Mailwasher, and I can recommend this to you. It’s free and easy to use. All you have to do is go to the website here, install, and follow the very simple instructions. More information can be found at the main website here.
The best thing about it is that it will automatically blacklist (show as spam) lots and lots of spam without you having to do anything, then for the ones it doesn’t do automatically you mark it as blacklisted and it will never bother you again.
Basically it’s a lot easier than going through all your emails and deleting them step by step. If that’s what you do, then this is worth a try.
