Work Day Report

A great big thankyou for those who turned up for the Work Day a couple of Saturdays ago, everyone worked hard all morning and lots of work was done.

A lot of the person hours were spend cutting down the hedge, which had grown quite tall. You may have noticed that this wasn’t finished – this is because there was such a lot of work to be done. 4 people worked on this for over 3 hours trimming, sawing, and carrying, and it was hard work. Please have a look and you will notice the difference. Arrangements will be made to finish the job at some point in the near future.

Another job that needed to be done was the guttering, which was given a good clear-out by 2 willing workers, not only that but the Church Hall roof was cleared of deadly (yes they are!) leaves, another thankyou there. Leaves and (perhaps even deadlier) apples were cleared up from all around the site too.

Other jobs that were done include some painting jobs that needed immediate attention, the lawn was mowed, the front garden was given a trim, a safety handle was put on the Church Hall, and probably some other things that I have forgotten.

The Work Day was also slightly inconvenienced by 2 broken windows that were discovered the night before, these were also fixed.

Work Days are very important so that we can catch up with things that need doing on the site, so when people turn it it’s more than helpful. Thanks again to those that came you all worked very hard and did a fantastic job!

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
