The work day, this Saturday the 25th of October, focuses this time on clearing up outside areas, gardening, and painting. Please bring appropriate clothing with you.
The recent renovations to the Youth Centre doors need to be painted in certain areas. The canopy needs weather treatment, and the doors need undercoat and gloss. There are also a few other painting jobs around the site.
As you will hopefully have noticed, the hedge has been half-trimmed, to dramatic effect. The rest of the hedge needs to be cut to the same level. If you haven’t seen the hedge, please have a look.
The guttering needs clearing out, especially on the Church Hall which can be prone to leaking. There will be a lot of leaves up there.
There are also lots of leaves around on the ground that will need sweeping up.
The garage needs a good tidy up, and some stuff will need to be taken down the tip.
There are also various maintenance and cleaning jobs that need doing, such as repairing the Youth Centre window seals, changing some hard to reach light bulbs, repairing the church hall curtain rail and the vestibule canopy.
Please come along and help if you can, there is always so much to do on the site and without the work days the place would be in such a mess! The work day is from 9.00am till 1.00pm.
